This position is responsible for the supervision of one or more accounting functions.
Supervises employees that record transactions, invoices, or payments to the organization’s general ledger or accounts payables/receivables systems.
Ensures transactions or records are entered accurately, timely and in compliance with procedures.
Researches and resolves discrepancies.
Assists with accounting close processes or the creation of financial statements and reports.
What is expected of you and others at this level
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team
Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan, receives guidance and oversight from manager
Typically, does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or required
3-5 years’ relevant experience required
Experience in Agribusiness/Commodity trading industry preferred
Strong problem solving and communication skills
