Lamp Rynearson, a civil engineering, consulting firm is seeking a collaborative and creative qualified Project Manager to join our Kansas City, MO office’s Water and Aquatics team! This opportunity in consulting engineering is for an energetic individual with a desire to help implement community changing projects. The successful candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that the completed project meets client expectations and project constraints for a variety of public and private recreational aquatics (swimming pool and water park) projects. Coordinate or conduct site visits with project engineer during design and as needed during construction. Coordinate with Resident Project Representative during construction phase. Assist client and project engineer in negotiation and preparation of change orders.
Basic competencies for the position include:
Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering from an accredited college or university
Registered Professional Engineer with six or more years’ experience or equivalent as a Project Engineer
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the aquatics field
Ability to work well with, coach and direct others with different personalities and professional styles
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan and deliver effective oral and written presentations
Computer skills in Microsoft Office and .pdf mark-up software
Skills in CAD and/or Revit are a plus
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal regulations
Possess a working knowledge of other disciplines including Structural, MEP, Architecture, and Geotech
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to perform occasional site visits to monitor project progress
Desire to participate in professional societies and community organizations
Valid driver’s license with state required liability insurance and a clean driving record
