PublicRelay is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Associate Media Analyst to join our analytics team! This role works directly with our Media Analysts to analyze traditional, social, and broadcast media, identify pertinent trends, and provide daily customized deliverables and news summaries to our clients.
A successful candidate should be highly analytical, self-motivated, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadline pressure to support client deliverables. Additionally, candidates will be relied upon to work independently with limited oversight and management.
This is a fully remote, part-time position to work weekend hours.
Responsibilities
Utilize our proprietary systems to prioritize and filter domestic and international media content
Support Account Manager team by providing accurate content analysis and insights on client media trends
Curate customized client newsletters, highlighting the significant company and stakeholder mentions, as well as industry trends
Assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly media analysis reports
Research and gather additional data for clients to provide a more comprehensive picture of people and events in the news
Desired Skills
Undergraduate degree or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably in communications, journalism, public relations, English, or business with a minimum 3.2 GPA
Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and analyze large amounts of media coverage
Intellectual curiosity, a sense of humor, and a commitment to staying on top of current events and global news
