GPI seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide a range of services as part of an integrated building services design team for our Metro NY office in Suffern, NY. We are seeking someone with a good work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work collectively with our team, and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Creating basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer or senior designer
Performing CAD drafting for a variety of projects and beginning to understand building systems engineering design and documentation
Coordinating with other trades (architectural and engineering and/or internal and external)
Supporting the design and engineering efforts of systems for new, retrofits, and/or replacement and upgrades for a wide variety of projects
Maintaining company standards
Assisting with field investigations and construction site visits to ensure projects meet the client’s specifications
Attending project coordination meetings as required
Responding to RFI’s
What You Bring to the Table:
BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required
3 + years’ of experience designing Electrical building systems
EIT required and working towards your PE
LEED AP is a plus
Experience using AutoCAD required; Revit preferred
Ability to learn local building and Energy Codes required
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
