Full Job Description:

Alynix is looking to add a Project Manager with five or more years of experience to support the team with diverse project responsibilities. We are seeking a seller-doer who is passionate about the geospatial profession, has a strong technical ability, excellent client relationship management skills, and has a strong desire to help clients solve complex geospatial problems.

 

Objectives:

  • Seller-Doer role: assist in pursuing new clients while developing and writing proposals and providing customers with estimates.

  • Review RFP/RFQ’s and provide estimate of work and pricing.

  • Participate in business development for geospatial opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Develop presentations to clients and other stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the technical leaders to identify appropriate technology and methodology for unique projects.

  • Be responsible for project documentation, progress reporting, accounting and client management.

  • Provide Geospatial support to other internal departments and operational units as needed.

  • Travel to conferences and client meetings to develop relationships and propose on projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, remote sensing, land surveying, or other related discipline.

  • Five years of project management experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A valid drivers license and good driving record.

  • Minimum of 6 years in progressive experience in Photogrammetry, LiDAR, or Survey.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Business development, professional networking, and public speaking experience.

  • Involvement in geospatial-related professional associations.

  • Experience with the acquisition or application of geospatial data (aerial imagery, lidar, UAS, etc.)

  • Background in common GIS and CAD-based software platforms (Inpho, Metashape, ArcGIS, OrthoVista, Global Mapper, MicroStation, Terrasolid, TopoDOT)

  • Familiarity with geospatial market sectors (state and local government, transportation, energy, telecom, environmental, and civil engineering)

  • Leadership experience, including leading small groups to successful project outcomes.

  • Processional certifications in geospatial industry or related discipline (CP, GISP, PLS, etc.) is a plus
