Job Description

Health Coach (Part-time) at Atomic

Atomic is the venture studio that co-founds companies by pairing founders with the best ideas, teams, and resources, and funding those with the most potential. When entrepreneurs co-found with Atomic, they team up with an experienced group of operators who have started dozens of companies, and created billions of dollars in enterprise value. Industry disruptors like Bungalow, Found, Hims and Hers, Homebound, OpenStore, and Replicant all started at Atomic along with dozens more. Atomic was founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneur Jack Abraham and is headquartered in Miami and San Francisco with a distributed team across North America.

We are a pre-launch company backed by Atomic VC building a novel fertility business aimed at helping Gen-Z women put time on their side. Our founders have built multiple businesses in the medical retail and biotech industries. We’ve raised a healthy Seed round and have the capital required to hire a team, launch our product, and invest in growth for many quarters in the future.

We are searching for educators, coaches and counselors that will enjoy creating fruitful relationships with Gen-Z women. As a coach, you’ll educate, assess, plan and prepare women for their fertility journey in a proactive way. Our service is tailored for women who may want a family someday, but not today. This is the ideal role for the right person – you are going to help launch one of the next big health tech concepts as the first coach, while working with our team of experts to define and execute our education, assessment and screening process in a holistic way.

What You’ll Do:

  • As a Coach, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborative Goal Setting: Work closely with clients on a weekly basis, engaging through video and text messaging to set specific and achievable goals tailored to their fertility journey. These goals will be designed to support their long-term fertility objectives and overall reproductive wellness.

  • Documenting Member Interactions and Health Metrics: Keep thorough records of member interactions and messaging to monitor their progress and ensure personalized guidance. Additionally, track relevant health metrics to assess improvements and identify areas that require further attention.

  • 1:1 Video Support: Provide personalized support through 1:1 video calls to offer additional guidance and address specific concerns, ensuring clients receive individual attention during their fertility preparation process.

  • Feedback Loop and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish a strong feedback loop between clients, coaches, and cross-functional teams, such as Customer Support, Operations, and Product teams. Utilize this feedback to enhance the overall coaching experience for both clients and the internal coaching team.

  • Community Engagement: Actively participate in guiding and nurturing the fertility-focused communities associated with the program. Drive meaningful conversation topics and engage with members’ questions and comments to foster a supportive and informative community environment.

  • Innovative Thinking and Growth Mindset: Collaborate with different departments and teams to contribute innovative ideas that enhance the quality of the fertility education and counseling experience. Embrace a growth-oriented mindset to continuously improve and evolve the coaching approach.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a health-related field, such as reproductive health, counseling, nursing, public health, or a related discipline.

  • Previous experience working as a nurse, fertility coach, reproductive health counselor, or in a related role is a plus.

  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours weekly, to ensure sufficient time for client support and engagement.

  • A strong passion for the fertility and reproductive health industry, staying informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices. Furthermore, an ability to help women see their fertility in a holistic way, vis a vis biological, social, professional and financial lenses.

  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and counseling best practices tailored to fertility education.

  • Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-motivation and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring and encouraging clients on their fertility journeys.

  • Skill in working through ambivalence and resistance that clients may experience during their fertility preparation process.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in documenting member interactions and progress.

  • Openness to feedback and a strong desire for continuous learning and personal growth.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace platforms and Zoom for efficient communication and collaboration.

  • A Master’s degree in a health-related field, such as reproductive health, counseling, nursing, public health, or health education may be a valuable asset in providing advanced fertility education and support.

  • Certification as a fertility coach, reproductive health counselor, or similar credential would demonstrate specialized expertise.

  • Experience working remotely, using various technology platforms, and familiarity with CRM software would be advantageous in managing virtual coaching interactions efficiently.

What We Offer:

  • Rewarding, impactful work through relationship building and integrity-first culture.

  • A positive, collaborative work environment where you have a voice and shape the future.

  • Flexible, remote work environment with lots of support.

  • Competitive pay, benefits (if applicable) and opportunity to grow and advance with the company.

Salary is dependent on experience.

We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you’re excited about this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply.
