Associates are given a wide variety of diversified accounting and consulting assignments under the supervision of different professionals. Performance is judged based on the quality of work, application of accounting and consulting knowledge, and ability to meet time constraints.
Job Requirements:
Assists team in preparation of financial statements
Performs schedule computations of accruals, amortizations and depreciation expense
Assists in proofing financial statements and other related documents
Accepts responsibility for accuracy of data, accumulation, and maintenance in all aspects of what we do as an accounting and consulting Firm
Attends to client service adding value to clients’ business through analyzing, understanding and cross-selling opportunities
Performs other accounting or consulting duties as assigned
Learns through Mentor proper delegation and management of workload and demonstrates ability to delegate and manage workload
Review reports and offer process improvements in accordance with beBetter initiatives
Assists in marketing the Firm
Other Responsibilities:
Participates in Mentoring Program and assist in the training of new hires
Assumes individual responsibility to learn all new technology and processes introduced by the Firm as required
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, and database technology, including creating imports and error correction
Knowledge of accounting principles, income taxes, or consulting area as appropriate
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Advanced proofing and editing skills
Must be detail-oriented
Ability to develop proficiency with Intacct, Alliance and other industry-specific software
Experience:
Experience with balance sheets, bank reconciliations and monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statement preparation
1-3 years’ experience working with spreadsheets, financial statements, and other financial reports preferred
Experience in a CPA firm or experience in franchise accounting strongly preferred
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
