Junior Accountant at Canibuild Au Pty Ltd

Canibuild, dramatically improves how the residential construction industry designs, approves, and sells what they are building, by automating and significantly enhancing their design, approval, and sales process.

Answering their first critical question, can I build this on this plot of land within minutes instead of weeks!

We are an ultra-fast growing SaaS start-up, backed by the largest hedge fund in Australia, with a rapidly growing subscriber user base from around the world including Australia, NZ, Canada, and the United States.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal and data entries

  • Record transactions and posting these to various accounts

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable

  • Review invoices generated

  • Manage corporate credit cards

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals and reconciliations

  • Collaborate with internal stake holders

  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Less than 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, and other related fields

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and financial analysis

  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools. Experience in Xero is required.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to meet deadlines

  • Knowledge of tax regulations and familiarity with tax compliance and processes

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
