Access Softek is looking for a Junior QC Engineer who loves their job and is willing to make the world better, without bugs.
We are a software company headquartered in Berkeley, California, and creating a digital banking solution: online banking, mobile banking, omnichannel lending, and omnichannel account opening.
Today our 300+ employees are serving over 400 financial institutions and reaching over 3 million mobile banking end-users every month. Our focus is on innovation: mobile-first, machine learning, and AI everywhere.
In this position, you will work in a friendly multinational team of QA Engineers under a team manager in coordination with other departments at our company who will help you to get into the depth of Mobile Banking Applications and Web Applications, practice English speaking skills, and support you all along.
The Project includes many different interesting features related to actual banking transfers and reports and gives an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the technical aspects of web and mobile application architecture and testing approaches. The main focus of the team is on the testing conducted on different platforms (web, Android, iOS), using mobile devices that the company provides.
The employee can modify their working day in order to visit all the meetings, but the majority of team members are working mainly in the period of 9 AM – 8 PM (GMT+2) with the possibility for breaks during the day. Late calls are possible depending on the team’s schedule.
Take part in system-level testing activities: risks-based Exploratory testing, end-to-end System testing, Regression, and Implementation testing on Web and mobile platforms
Creating checklists for Exploratory testing under supervision
Updating user tours for System testing under the supervision
Choosing the scope for Regression testing under supervision, based on priorities and risks
Preparing test data and reporting testing results
Reporting bugs in Jira
To be a proactive team member and provide input on all stages of software development
Finished testing fundamentals courses or some experience in testing
Knowledge of testing theory
To be attentive to details
Strong desire to learn new things and develop new skills
Work experience with at least one of the following test case management systems: Zephyr, TestLink, Testuff, TestLog, and so on.
Ability to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated to a higher level
Strong problem-solving skills
Work experience with at least one of the defect tracking systems (Especially JIRA)
English level (speaking, writing, reading) – intermediate level
Ability to understand the nature of bugs (front-end, back-end, configuration)
Ability to understand logs
Experience working in a distributed team
Work experience in Agile Team
