Loparex LLC is the worlds largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. The Iowa City facility has been in operation since 1970 and annually supplies three billion square feet of release liner worldwide.
About the Role:
We are currently looking for high energy, safety focused and motivated individuals to join our Iowa City workforce as Machine Operators with prior machine operator experience.
These positions may work a 12-hour shift on a compressed work schedule working 3 days one week and 4 the next week, including every other weekend, or on a 12-hour shift working 4 days per week with a rotating day off.
This position will entail a variety of duties which will include the machine start-up, product changeovers, daily operation and shut down. This also includes observing and monitoring machine for defects during operation, troubleshooting and correcting problems on the equipment, using the computer to enter information and to print out paperwork, performing routine quality testing, overseeing the work of production associates and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly working environment.
What You’ll Need:
High school diploma or GED, or previous work experience to meet the job expectations.
Ability to use hand tools, have mechanical aptitude, strong interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, ability to read and write, follow verbal and written instructions, use basic math and take accurate measurements.
Candidates must also have the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend and kneel for up to 12 hours.
Minimum 1 year of machine operator experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Employees will be required to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves and steel toe shoes. (All required PPE is provided by Loparex.)

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus
