This is a First Shift position, located at the Arthrex manufacturing facility in Ave Maria, FL.
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. If hired, you will be eligible for a $2000.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholding). $1,000 will be paid after you complete your first 90 days, and $1,000 at 180 days. Must be an employee in good standing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives work order and verify that the components are correct
Receives material and loads on bar feeder
Performs first cut-off
Returns all axis to the home position
Ability to look at screen pages and machine operation to detect malfunctions
Verifies the correct program in the machine is running
Uses various types of measuring instruments
Replaces tooling at the machine
Stops machine to change settings, offsets and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications using precision measuring instruments
Recommends process improvements with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems
Ensures work area, machine, tooling and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil deposits
Maintains good quality and production output
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Mechanical aptitude. At least three months of directly related training and/or experience in a manufacturing setting. Ability to use measuring tools. Must pass blueprint reading class.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Knowledge of CNC machines.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
Physical Demands:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Vision Requirements:
Visual acuity necessary to do the job safely and effectively.
