Job Details:
Provides maintenance service to all non-bargaining unit facilities to include all Taylor owned properties.
Carpentry work includes but is not limited to framing, finishing, sheetrock, ceilings, floorings, caulking, trim work, etc.
Provides roof and concrete repair on Taylor properties when needed.
Receives and completes work orders from the construction manager.
Selects material and hardware, makes time and materials estimates.
Maintains accurate records on material and labor used.
Maintains inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials.
Inspects jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
Works with other maintenance employees completing building projects.
Detects needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures.
Operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
Ensures that equipment is in safe operating condition.
Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
As time permits, will undergo electrical, HVAC, phone, and data training with the possible opportunity of advancement to technician status.
Respond to emergency calls as needed.
Supervisor may assign other duties and accountabilities limited to those consistent with the applicable job function and pay grade.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Ten Years of Construction Experience
Must pass general skills test
Valid Driver’s License
Forklift Operator License
Must complete various safety courses
Must provide own personal hand tools
