The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Intern to join our growing team. As a Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for assisting our marketing team with the creation of marketing content & assets, analysis & reporting on important growth metrics, and strategic planning of marketing campaigns.

This role is responsible for supporting our marketing team and completing projects at assigned deadlines. The marketing team will also advocate your own growth as a marketing professional. The role requires a person with an interest in marketing & advertising and at least an academic experience in creating marketing assets and content. There is a heavy emphasis on writing and data analysis in this role.

The Marketing Intern reports to the Growth Marketing Manager.

As a part-time intern of GivingData, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly social media planning & execution. Including planning & writing posts, creating graphics on Canva, and conducting social research.

  • Create website graphics and format/publish blogs and content.

  • Marketing asset/collateral design and collaboration with Growth Marketing Manager.

  • HubSpot CRM reporting, cleanup, management.

  • Content planning, topic research, assistance and training on planning & executing blogs, webinars, client stories.

Some other potential responsibilities may include:

  • Competitor analysis and research.

  • Audience analysis and research – where our ICP interacts online, what organizations they’re members of, what messaging they respond to, and apply the results to HubSpot lists.

  • Creation of marketing reports based on the above analyses.

  • Keep Confluence (our marketing hub of resources and reports for the entire GivingData team) updated with reports and resources on a regular basis.

Your Experience

  • Studying or have studied Marketing and/or Communications in higher education.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when writing marketing copy, blogs, and social media posts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with using Canva, HubSpot, and Google Analytics is a plus.

  • Intermediate-level experience with Excel.

  • Ability to work independently for a fully remote company and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Commitment to social impact and philanthropic giving.
