An IP Practice Clerk is an entry level position generally assigned to a specific client and works under the supervision of the responsible attorneys in assisting with trademark prosecution, clearance, enforcement, and portfolio management.
Responsibilities:
Assisting attorneys with trademark portfolio management, U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution filings, U.S. and foreign trademark oppositions, cancellations, and other disputes.
Preparing legal documents and evidence of trademark use and brand recognition.
Verifying and managing deadlines and preparing substantive reports to the client.
Document and evidence management.
Various other tasks as requested/needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a quick learner who can work independently and efficiently on numerous tasks of varying levels of complexity at any given time.
Ability to meet the Firm’s billable hours requirement while maintaining excellent service and producing consistently high-quality work product that meets or exceeds the Firm’s quality standards.
Excellent data entry and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate projects.
Ability to use good judgment, initiative, and command of resources to accomplish results.
Ability to work well as a team member.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff and to provide information with courtesy and tact.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Flexibility and ability to prioritize a continually changing workload.
Ability to work well under pressure and be self-motivated.
Ability to type at least 60+ wpm accurately.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite is a must.

California Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience is $60,000.00.
