What We Are Looking For
Understands operation of basic technology equipment and processes, while following all safety procedures and TWI job instructions. Majority of time is spent manually assembling and packaging product, including labeling, weighing, sealing, carton and loading pallets for shipment. Start up, operate and shut down basic technology equipment and processes on manual and automatic equipment. Can identify that troubleshooting is needed on equipment and processes, but seeks out others to assist. Has the knowledge and skill sets to execute across multiply basic technologies within the department. May operate approximately 10% of the next level equipment or processes in continued development towards the next level.
What You Will Do
Complete packaging, labeling, and carton of products to include label accuracy, package seal integrity, and counts per package and carton (occasional manual packaging and re-packaging of product).
Start-up, operate and shutdown basic technology manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly/production machines and processes.
Perform quality inspections in accordance to Panduit’s quality systems and procedures and complete all data entry functions.
Safety in accordance to Panduit’s safety guidelines and procedures.
What You Will Bring
Preferred Degree: High school education or GED equivalent
Certificate(s): Production Operator training curriculum
Experience: Less than one (1) year of manufacturing experience
Ability to carry out standard work routines using simple or basic equipment. A satisfactory standard can be achieved after a few weeks of practical experience.
Highly repetitive work, in which, the same task or group of tasks is carried out without any significant variation.
Understands basic machines, assemblies and tools and processes including their designs and uses. Can observe basic manual and automated equipment operations so that malfunctions and other abnormalities can be detected; has the ability to monitor, evaluate and adjust basic equipment, as needed. Can learn new skills and knowledge; is adept at learning company product or technical knowledge; operate equipment using hand/eye coordination.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
We do not conduct drug screening as part of our background screening process for any position. We will continue to do impairment checks on the job and will test for all drugs and alcohol after any incident.
