Responsibilities

Manchester Tank is hiring for a Production Trainer! We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has the skill and experience to teach/mentor team members to the best of their ability. Our production trainer would be providing training in both a classroom and hands-on environment, and must exemplify all our core principles.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Evaluating the outcome of training sessions.

  • Maintaining an up-to-date and accurate record of trainee progress and achievements including the Welder’s Log

  • Ensuring that the organization’s resources are efficiently utilized.

  • Communicating the correct information and handling any questions from trainees.

  • Laying good examples by demonstrating the skills that are being taught.

  • Critically examining the trainees’ understanding and progress and making necessary adjustments to the program.

  • Scheduling training sessions to minimize disruption to normal work.

  • Develops and implements learning curriculum that is consistent with current trends and best practices.

  • Develop and implement classroom training: welding (MIG & SubArc), blueprint, bill of material, basic tape measure.

  • Develop, implement, and follow up on the hands-on training on production lines.

  • Participates in quality audits.

  • Perform and manage weld test and records on all incoming and current team members and keeping employees up to date on certifications.

  • Obtain continuing education to stay abreast of own knowledge and skills of the environment along with Robotics Training.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Must be organized and comfortable leading a classroom setting

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on welding procedures, machinery, and robotics

  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery, and assist production when needed

  • Teaching experience

  • Leadership experience
