Persistent Systems is looking for a Project Specialist to join our growing team in North Carolina! The Project Specialist will join our Development Programs team and will be responsible for working with the Program Manager and Project Managers in managing all aspects of Government projects, pursuing new opportunities, and developing existing relationships with Government Project persons of contact.
Position Responsibilities
Maintain supporting project management data, including project plans, project schedules, project budgets, action plans, labor hours, etc. in support of Project Managers
Responsible to collect, organize, and analyze data to support invoicing and project reporting
Work with customers to complete required Government forms
Work with Account Managers to respond to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP,) and other relevant requests
Develop reports on work performed and / or equipment delivered in multiple formats as requested by the Program and Project Manager
Problem solver / Self-starter who is willing to develop processes or methods where none exist to accomplish a task
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or similar fields or equivalent experience
Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (ex. Infor CSI or similar) performing typical accounting and procurement activities
Experience supporting projects, technology, technical writing, and proposal writing
Experience with network and communications systems
Experience with Adobe, MS Project, MS Teams, MS Excel, and MS Word
Demonstrated experience managing simultaneous tasks and competing priorities
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Must be available to travel 20-30% of the time
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work with multiple departments within the organization to accomplish tasks
Must have a United States Secret-level security clearance or be able to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a similar field or equivalent experience
Experience with the DoD Acquisition Process, understanding of the product life cycle
Certification in Program Management (PMP) and CCNA or other similar technical certifications
Experience in managing over $1M projects
The pay for this role can vary from $65,000 to $75,000 a year based on the selected individual’s education and experience.
