Persistent Systems is looking for Project Specialist to join our growing team in Colorado! The Project Specialist will be responsible for working with the Program Manager and Project Managers to help ensure successful execution of projects.
Position Responsibilities
The Project Specialist is responsible for equipment management; to include equipment ordering, tracking, inventory, RMAs, equipment management software, and shipping, of over $50 mil of equipment spread between three Air Force Bases
Works with Logistics representative for equipment shipping, receiving, and inventory – including directly handling the equipment, record-keeping, and related logistics actions
Work with multiple departments within the organization to accomplish tasks, specifically shipping, receiving, sales, and production at the headquarters in New York
Assist in the development and maintaining master project schedule
Provide support to the Program Manager to respond to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and other relevant requests as necessary
Problem solver / Self-starter who is willing to develop processes or methods where none exist to accomplish a task
Must have exceptional organizational skills
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Business Administration, or similar fields or equivalent experience
Experience with an equipment management software, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (ex. Infor CSI or similar) performing typical accounting and procurement activities
Experience with MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word
Experience performing shipping, receiving and inventory for thousands of dollars of equipment
Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous tasks and competing priorities
Must be available to travel up to 15% of the time
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must have a United States Department of Defense Secret level clearance or be able to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor ‘s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a similar field or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years professional experience (manufacturing or product development environment is preferred)
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
The pay for this role can vary from $75,000 to $85,000 a year based on the selected individual’s education and experience.
