MTM, Inc. is growing and hiring a Senior Accountant. This role is hybrid of work from home and one day a week in the office (Lake St. Louis location)
What Will Your Job Look Like?
The Senior Accountant is a member of the MTM Accounting and Finance team working with the accounting systems to complete general accounting responsibilities.
What You’ll Do:
Independently and accurately complete assigned monthly journal entries within published Accounting timeframe and guidelines
Maintain appropriate skills and knowledge of Accounting systems and tools
Ensure compliance with all Accounting policies and procedures
Ensure all accounting procedures conform to GAAP
Maintain appropriate documentation and approvals for all transactions
Complete and review all assigned monthly & quarterly account reconciliations including general ledger account assignments in accordance with published Accounting timeframe and guidelines
Perform monthly/quarterly financial reporting analysis including, but not limited to: Monthly Financial Statement Analysis, Contract Analysis, Budget/Actual Analysis
Responsible for monthly/quarterly trend and budget variance explanations for financial reporting
Complete client required documents in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare the required “Client Prepared Schedules” and complete prior to the start of audit field work
Maintain close contact and good working relationships with the auditors to enhance audit relationship
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Sales and Use tax returns
Maintain the General Ledger System
Support Accounting by utilizing software to analyze data
Assist in department process improvement & controls
Perform special Projects assigned by management
What You’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting
Proficient skills with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word
Previous ERP experience required, Workday Financials experience preferred
