Senior Accountant at Nou Systems Inc

Salary Range:$56,200.00 To 118,600.00 Annually

 We are pleased to announce the opening for a Senior Accountant who will join our Corporate Staff in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

You’ll be performing general and or complex accounting entries, analysis, and reporting. Preparing and maintaining account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts. Assisting with monthly closing process and preparation of Financial Statements.  Supporting multiple Accounting areas including general ledger, cash and banking, prepaids, credit card reconciliations, invoicing, fixed assets, accruals, etc. Assisting with monthly budget vs actual reporting and analysis. Ensuring company compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations). Setting up projects in Deltek Costpoint. Entering contract modifications into Deltek Costpoint. Setting up and and managing employee workforce in Deltek Costpoint. Managing of hours and financial projections for multiple contracts throughout fiscal year. Supporting multiple proposal efforts throughout the fiscal year. Performing other duties as assigned. 

Here’s what you’ll need:

You must have a Bachelor’s degree at minimum, in a Business Related field such as Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years full time professional experience in Accounting and Finance. Lacking any of these disqualifies you from the job.   

You also must have :

• Advanced working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint modules

• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and, DCAA compliance 

• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP 

• Advanced Microsoft skills including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills required

• High level of personal ownership along with excellent communication skills

• Advanced understanding of accounting processes and principles required

Other qualifications we hope you bring to the table: 

Cognos Report Authoring a plus.
