Based in Midland, Directions Workforce Solutions Incorporated, a registered charity, is looking to recruit an experienced and proactive individual to join a small but very busy team.
About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, where no two days are the same. Reporting to the HR | Finance Manager, the role will be to complete timely and accurate payroll processing ensuring compliance to a wide range of awards and industrial instruments.
Below are some of the key activities you will be required to undertake:
Interpretation of awards and applying these rules through payroll
Complete set up and ongoing changes to employee details regarding payroll such as increase in salary and other employee pay entitlements
Liaise with managers and host companies to ensure resolution and timely processing of pay related matters
Resolve and assist employees with pay queries
Proactively looking for areas of improvement with systems and processes
Maintain an efficient document control and filing system to ensure employee information is readily available
Processing of government incentives and other administration duties
To be successful in this role you will possess
a minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll, dealing with multiple awards within a complex organisational structure, group training organisation or labour hire
experience in processing high volumes of online timesheets in 2.5 days
experience in Workforce One (payroll system) would be advantageous
significant experience dealing with multiple modern awards including Building and Construction General On-site Award, Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award and Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award
must have a pleasant demeanour in dealing with clients and employees
demonstrated ability to be organised, prioritise work, and manage time effectively
excellent written and verbal communication skills
skills in using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
Australian citizenship, Permanent Resident or relevant right to work visa
