The Sr Account Executive is an individual contributor and is responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives with a leading Global Automotive OEM. In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative cross-functional team, and therefore required to develop and lead various internal and external cross functional projects to successful completion. This position requires someone with a “can do” attitude who is willing to accept tasks and responsibilities that may fall outside a traditional sales person role to ensure the ongoing success of the Automotive OEM Global Account Sales Team. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: prospecting content, IVI, CVS, EV and HAD opportunities in all parts of the business at the client, creating the strategy to collaborate with the client, developing proposals / Term Sheets and finalizing the contract. This person will consistently demonstrate advanced sales, marketing/market research, analytical and business skills.
Your main responsibilities include:
Achieve assigned sales targets for the growth of company
Drive the revenue of the awarded programs through monitoring and optimizing activities
Develop and execute sales strategy for the assigned market and account
Lead the projects and align with local & global team
Prospect and develop new business opportunities
Develop innovative proposals and deliver strategic sales presentations
Strengthen the relationship as a trusted advisor for the various stakeholders of existing and potential customers (the leading OEM, its divisions, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) across multiple levels of organization and external parties
Work with the customer to identify future product requirements for HERE’s location based solutions and services and communicate the requirements to the product and operational team within HERE
Monitor the market and competitor activities, and provide relevant reports and information
Execute targeted customer training and workshop
Role Requirements:
Over 10 years as a sales manager of account management or account sales in the software industry with a proven record of being able to close complex deals
Direct Sales experience is preferred (SaaS, PaaS)
Successful management of complex projects and demonstrated execution excellence
Strong cross-functional collaboration and team-building skills
Superior business, negotiation, and closing skills
Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key decision-makers at the customer
Ability to manage various stakeholders at multiple levels of the customer organization
Background in automotive electronics system integration solution, Software, and/or LBS-related solution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Motivated self-starter, with outstanding work ethic & energetic attitude
Organized, strong follow-up skills, high sense of urgency
Bachelors or advanced degree in business or engineering – MBA preferred
Based close to Detroit to be able to visit the customer as needed
