Systems Administrator at BAE Systems

Join BAE Systems Intelligence & Security (I&S) Sector and be a part of an agile team that protects and supports those who protect us. Our team seeks a Systems Administrator to join our technology-based program supporting a government customer. This program will engineer and deploy a new cloud-based Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE) while maintaining the current legacy environments. As a Systems Administrator, you may:

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the Digital Engineering legacy networks and the new cloud-based DEE

  • Provide Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution

  • Help to optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

  • Collaborate with the ISSE/ISSO to capture evidence for ATO

  • Build, configure, monitor, and maintain virtual environments

  • Build, configure, monitor, and maintain storage environments

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years’ experience or an Associate’s degree with 6+ years’ experience

  • Possess a Security+ CE certification

  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux administration

  • Troubleshooting experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Information Assurance technology

  • Understand and/or Experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.)

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Understanding or experience with Docker/Kubernetes

  • Experience with ServiceNow
