Definition:

Under the supervision of the Asset Management Systems Supervisor, the Temporary Systems Analyst will create, support, implement, and maintain the CMMS/EAM technology that supports the repair, maintenance, replacement, and work planning for infrastructure assets. This position performs Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system maintenance activities and manages security controls; performs quality control on data derived from business process data flows; works on multiple projects simultaneously and translates asset and work management data into usable information that improves business decision making for enterprise assets; installs, develops, and maintains computer applications related to EAM and other specialized software; assists EAM system users and performs other related duties as required.

Distinguishing Features:

The incumbent is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the effective utilization of the EAM system. The incumbent will update the system configuration as required per business process and data requirement changes, provide end user support, ensure accurate historical data record keeping for work and asset management, coordinate with field and office personnel of multiple departments, and utilize BI tools to perform data quality, asset performance, asset failure, and work management performance analyses.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Support end-users of the system in areas such as: reviewing and auditing user access, creating training materials, training end-users, delivering reports in support of business operations, maintaining online system documentation

·       Work with supervisors, users, developers, and other system leads to improve field applications and computing related to work and asset management

·       Implement and support new updates of EAM software, control software changes

·       Create and support data analysis using reporting services, analytic tools, and database skills

·       Create and operate CMMS data integrations with multitude of business systems

·       Support mobile application development and maintenance

·       Support development of BI data analytics reporting, visualization, and dashboards for work and asset management

·       Support a large meter changeout program as the lead coordinator with internal departments and customers

Education and Experience:

·       A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field

·       Two years of experience implementing or administering a CMMS/EAM system (e.g. Oracle WAM, Oracle eAM, Infor EAM, etc.) is desired

·       Experience working with databases and database tools/applications (e.g. Toad, Data Point, SQL Developer) writing SQL against relational database systems

·       Experience performing analysis and developing reports using BI & analytics tools is desired

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills to work with operating teams and to develop requirements and use cases with coworkers

·       Ability to map business process flows and translate to technical configuration of EAM

·       Applied experience using SQL to interact with an enterprise database and experience with reporting or data presentation tools

·       Experience developing integrations between CMMS system and other internal or external business systems

·       Creativity in operations, analyzing and presenting data relationships, and helping others derive information from data

·       Understanding of data modeling and database structure

·       Experience with programming/scripting languages is desired (ex. Python, JavaScript, .Net)

·       Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

·       Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines

·       Knowledge of ETL concepts and best practices

Other Requirements:

Must possess a valid California driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
