Technical Program Manager at Meta 

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager to join our team, whose mission is creating the future of eye tracking for AR and VR. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience working on early stage, cross-functional efforts working in partnership with leaders in research, hardware engineering, software engineering, product management, and design. More broadly, the chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting-edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.We look for technical program managers who have a strong technical foundation and are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced innovative environment.

Required SkillsTechnical Program Manager Responsibilities:

• Work with research and engineering teams to develop early prototypes
• Work with technical leads to convert ambiguous research proposals into actionable plans with comprehensive assessment of required resources
• Coordinate communication between internal and external teams, vendors and partners
• Identify and communicate program requirements, scope, constraints, dependencies, and risks
• Provide key stakeholders with full visibility of the program schedule, progress and potential roadblocks
• Proactively identify technical, legal, procedural, logistical, and communication issues and drive creative solutions to address those and manage risk
• Ensure that the information your team needs is complete, current, accurate, and accessible
• Cross disciplinary communication of hardware, software, and electrical system requirements
• Establish best practices and refine processes for better communication and positive outcomes
• Ability to travel up to 20%

Minumum QualificationMinimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience
• Experience developing prototype or V1 hardware + software systems
• Experience working with a cross-disciplinary team of researchers, software engineers and hardware engineers
• Communication and presentation experience through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical
• Self-starter with proven analytical and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field

Preferred QualificationPreferred Qualifications:

• Experience in scoping and shipping Consumer Electronics hardware
• Experience with eye/face/hand/body/object tracking technology
• Experience with computer vision, optics systems, robotics, or autonomous vehicles
• Demonstrated experience to work with cutting-edge technologies with highly ambiguous development schedules
• Vendor and partner relationship management experience including setting up effective contracts and communication channels
