Job Description

UX Designer at Paxus

Paxus is currently seeking a UX Researcher/ Designer to join a contract with our Federal Government client. You will work to transform the Department’s approach to delivering online content and help deliver a Digital¬†

Experience Platform.

  • 6 month contract + 2x 6 month extension

  • Canberra-based role + 2 days WFH per week

  • Ability to obtain Baseline clearance

  • Improve the user experience for millions of Australian citizens


  • Minimum 5yrs experience required

  • Proven experience in user research for large digital projects

  • Ability to lead and deliver user research engagements from end-to-end in a team environment (including planning, designing, running/facilitating, analysis and reporting)

  • Experience using both qualitative and quantitative methods will be required

  • Expert in User Centred Design (UCD) and the DTA’s Digital Service Standard (DSS)

  • Experience in using metrics and user feedback to improve digital products and services.

  • Knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies and ability to use them alongside your team to deliver on projects

  • Strong presentation/facilitation skills and the ability to articulate and present solutions, ideas and recommendations
