Job Requirements

Under direct supervision, the Surgical Technologist II performs delegated patient care functions by assisting in surgical procedures and preparing supplies and equipment in the operating room. Key responsibilities include preparing the operating room, selecting and managing surgical instruments and supplies, performing preoperative patient preparation, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and handling basic patient care tasks such as specimen delivery and room turnover. The role also involves sterilizing instruments, maintaining inventory control to reduce costs, orienting new staff, and contributing to the development of departmental policies and protocols. Additional duties are performed as assigned to support efficient surgical operations.

Work Experience

Education requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), along with completion of a Surgical Technologist training program; alternatively, 2 years of relevant experience may be accepted. CPR certification is mandatory, and ST certification is preferred.ions: CPR certification is required
