Position Summary
Manages all Maintenance, Electrical, Controls/Instrumentation, and Building and Grounds.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Develop departmental budget and ensure department stays within budget.
Oversee mechanical integrity, preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Provide leadership to assure the department is in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements such as OSHA (PSM), environmental and food safety.
Collaborate with operations managers and monitor the operational efficiencies of equipment and actively seeks ways to improve plant productivity and lower production and maintenance costs.
Participate in Process Hazard Analysis, Dust Hazard Analysis, and internal and external audits such as Safety, Quality, Customer and Factory Mutual audits.
Develop and maintain department procedures.
Provide and analyze trends and other reports to improve plant safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
Support department employees as well as contractors to ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
Coordinate plant shutdowns in partnership with Operations.
Oversee the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and equipment database and other information therein.
Work with Production to determine the necessary spare parts inventory and supplies; work with Purchasing and Plant Stores employees to ensure availability of parts.
Assist with recruiting, selecting, and onboarding of new department members.
Oversee technical training and development for all department employees as well as leadership coaching for supervisors/managers.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Business or Technical field of study (preferred)
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years’ experience supervising and managing Maintenance in an industrial setting
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
Experience in PSM and Mechanical Integrity
Experience using a CMMS and reporting functionality
Working knowledge of control systems, as well as, electrical and mechanical systems
Knowledge of safety and environmental impacts in an industrial setting
