Your opportunity

We were sad to recently see one of our beloved team members leave but thrilled for her as she embarks on running her own business.  As a result, we have an opportunity in our internal Talent Acquisition team!  Our team is responsible for partnering with key business stakeholders to anticipate, plan for and deliver fit for purpose talent attraction and sourcing strategies.

In terms of location, we’re flexible to consider candidates in Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane.  In terms of the role, it will ideally be delivered part time @ 32 hours per week (flexible as to how that is worked) but there is also scope for full time hours for a less experienced recruiter earlier in their career.  We’ll be flexible for the right person.

The specifics

In terms of details, in this specialist role you will:

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to develop an understanding of business requirements and forecast hiring needs

  • Use labour market expertise to develop sourcing strategies that identify appropriate talent in the external market

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes from brief to offer

  • Create and maintain pipelines of talent for future roles based on knowledge of forecast hiring needs

  • Work with local hiring managers and functional leads (where required), on appropriate and successful attraction strategies to satisfy vacancies at all levels and in all disciplines

  • Lead on proactive/strategic sourcing across multiple souring platforms

  • Where required, attend careers events in the regional as QinetiQ’s talent representative

  • Support and coach local hiring managers in the effective and consistent use of internal tools, systems and processes

  • Delight candidates with your personal and professional approach

Whist your portfolio will be varied, the main focus of this role will be on early careers recruitment, particularly in the graduate and internship recruitment seasons.

As an ideal addition to our team, you’ll present with:

  • A background in end-to-end recruitment – internal or agency

  • Experience recruiting across a range of disciplines but ideally within the early careers field (graduates, interns, trainees and/or apprentices)

  • Well-developed creative writing skills including an ability to write compelling recruitment advertisements/content

  • A strong customer service orientation and an ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Outstanding communication and time management skills

  • A strong team orientation, can-do approach and a passion for candidate experience

Whilst not essential, experience with Success Factors or similar applicant tracking systems, experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or other talent search platforms and/or tertiary level qualifications in HR or a relevant discipline will be highly regarded.

Due to the nature of our work, you’ll need to be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
