Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors, and refines an Equipment Reliability Program that include value-added preventive maintenance and calibration tasks, and effective utilization of predictive, condition monitoring and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems with equipment and system operation.
JOBS SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering preferred with 3+ years in manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental requirements
Possess knowledge of maintenance and reliability best practices including preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance
Has a history of implementing reliability best practices.
Has experience transforming a reactive work environment into a proactive work culture/environment.
Has good team building skills.
Possess the ability to work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Has knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance analysis processes including asset criticality assessments, failure modes and effects analysis and PM optimization.
Experience using lean methodologies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment – preferred.
Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends – as needed.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Lead maintenance safety and environmental compliance initiatives
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and increase reliability.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve mechanical equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Responsible to develop and implement solutions/improvements to equipment to reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) and increase mean time between failures (MTBF)
Work with maintenance team to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of equipment components.
Provide maintenance support to the plant.
Develop and maintain equipment documentation, including operating and maintenance procedures, maintenance schedules, and equipment histories.
Identify critical components required to prevent repair downtime.
Reduce budgeted expenses through component cost review and repair frequency analyses.
Work with the manufacturing team to identify and implement process improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
Train, teach, and mentor members of the maintenance and operations teams to spread reliability knowledge.
Provide technical support to maintenance team and manufacturing team to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Lead capital project planning and execution, providing technical expertise in equipment selection and installation.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
