Maintenance Manager at Unilever

The purpose of this job is to manage Maintenance and Facilities in the factory, providing an optimal infrastructure and improving production facilities in terms of flexibility, capital input, operating costs and performance. The job includes managing supervisors and technicians at the site, managing the maintenance teams and day-to-day maintenance costs, systems and program, leading a team of electrical, mechanical, control and utilities supervisors/ technicians, maintenance planners and additional employees in the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of the facility, utilities and production equipment for the entire factory for all shifts. Leads theProfessional Maintenance Pillars with full integration with the Unilever Manufacturing System plans on site. The position reports to the site director.

You’re a born leader:Youprovide maintenanceand facilities leadership, drawing resources from the local, regional and global organization as well as the global, category, peers and/ or 3PM teams. You serve as the Professional Maintenance pillar leader for the site. You lead the maintenance cost, systems and maintenance program at the site to drive safety, productivity improvement, cost,improvement of assets lifetime, asset utilization and reliability. You have strong passion for Technical Excellence and people development to drive team’s performance. You strategically influence peers and stakeholders to drive the business agenda through technical solutions.

You’re a dot connector:You work closely with the site team to build a robust maintenance, infrastructure and utilities master plan (non-product core) to drive change, sustain and improve performance and customer service at manufacturing. You put together a team of technical members in different disciplines (mechanical, electrical, controls and automation, maintenance planners, utilities, etc.) to drive the site performance by the delivery of improvements and capital projects based on the site masterplan.

You’re a change maker:You flawlessly executes activities leading all technical aspects of the working program working with site, Procurement, suppliers and the technical community in an integrated, high performance work team. You drive site efficiency by constantly looking at ways to improve safety, maintenance costs and productivitylooking at alternative technical solutions, besides working together with the site to sweat the assets, finding ways to extend the operating life of equipment, improving efficiencies, lowering environmental footprint and lowering operating costs. You drive the maintenance costs down by improving the condition and care of the assets and by finding alternative solutions for the maintenance program at the site.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Essential

  • B.S. or B.E. degree in Engineering or equivalent education with demonstrated working experience

  • 5 – 10+ years of professional experience in Maintenance Management and organizational management areas inFMCG/ related industry

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a people and maintenance management role (amount of experience needed depends on site size/ complexity)

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years manufacturing experience.

  • Professional engineering skills

  • Maintenance Systems and Maintenance Management expertise

  • Budget management skills

  • Understands and implements continuous improvement to drive performance for loss management.

Desired
