E-Billing Specialist at Reed Smith in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description

Position summary

This position is responsible for client e-billing and client e-billing account maintenance.

Job duties and responsibilities

  • E-Bill invoices monthly for assigned clients within BillBlast or designated E-billing site. This would include ensuring successful submission, monitoring of status and resolution of all rejections until final payment is received.
  • Proofe electronic invoices for accuracy.
  • Generate monthly e-billing reports.
  • Communicate with assigned attorneys and/or Executive Assistants regarding status of electronic invoices and deductions.
  • Update client and matter information within the 3E system to ensure compliance with client e-billing guidelines.
  • Assist attorneys and Executive Assistants with inquiries.
  • Assist E-Billing Manager with new electronic billing set ups.
  • Obtain matter ID’s and submit timekeeper approvals on a timely basis.
  • Gain an understanding/mastery of the e-billing systems (i.e. Tymetrix360, Passport, CounselLink, etc.).
  • Work with AP/Chrome River to obtain expense backup.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by attorneys and/or manager.
  • Work closely with Collections on status of electronic invoices.
  • Submission of monthly accurals/budgets where required.
  • Setup of Task/Activity codes and PTA Groups.

Requirements

Education: Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience: Prior experience with e-billing or other accounting function preferred. Experience with Elite/ 3E, BillBlast and other e-billing systems preferred. Experience in a law firm or other professional service environment a plus. Mathematical aptitude and ability to organize/prioritize multiple assignments, work independently on various projects, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of MS Excel and Elite/3E accounting software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels. Possess a customer focus and have a track record of providing the highest level of customer service. Able to organize and prioritize issues and workload.

Skills: Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize workload and to deal with stress within a fast-paced work environment. Must be able to work independently and display a professional manner at all times. Strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all organizational levels. Ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines along with the ability to handle daily requests.

Supervisory responsibilities: None.

Equipment used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, copier, scanner, etc.

  • Ability to work extended hours as required to meet deadlines or business needs.

Working conditions

You will be required to work in the office at minimum 4 days per week. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule. The details of your weekly schedule will be discussed further with your direct supervisor.

Pay ranges

This is a non-exempt position. The hourly wage range for this role is $25.96 to $40.10 per hour, depending on location. This represents the presently anticipated pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

Pittsburgh/Miami/Dallas/Houston/Denver/Atlanta – $25.96 – $32.69 per hour

Philadelphia – $27.88 – $35.09 per hour

Chicago (35 hours/week) – $31.86 – $40.10 per hour

Princeton/DC/Boston – $29.32 – $37.50 per hour
