About the Role:

To provide commercial support and advice to the Endeavour Group Merchandise Team, using data to drive performance reporting, planning and insightful analysis that improves and supports decision-making.

Performance Reporting, Interpretation & Planning

  • Responsible for the production and distribution of weekly and monthly performance reporting and analysis

  • Improve and automate existing reporting and introduce new reporting where necessary to support merchandise stakeholders with timely and insightful information on product performance and underlying drivers.

  • Support Merchandise category stakeholders with timely information on KPI’s, including stock levels and associated risks

  • Support the forecast and budget processes

  • Responsible for the end to end financial compliance of the Fine Wine category (including robust accruals, forecasts and budgets, cost centre performance and R&O tracking)

  • Month end integration of the Langton’s Winery Direct business

  • Responsible for building ad hoc reports and analysis based on the needs of the category teams

  • Introduce new reporting dashboards and performance reporting to highlight new opportunities for growth

  • Pro-actively rationalise reporting and ad hoc requests, through a culture of continuous improvement

Decision Support

  • Provide detailed analysis and recommendations on category pricing, ranging and promotional activities

  • Proactively communicate commercial impacts on past and future activities amongst stakeholders.

  • Analyse Initiatives to improve visibility and accountability of the categories financials and performance

  • Support strategic and project analysis to drive improved returns on capital investments and business initiatives

  • Play the role of ‘commercial advisor in all category activities, including supplier negotiations and discussion


About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • CA / CPA Qualification preferred but not essential

  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills to analyse and summarise high volumes of data from a variety of sources

  • Strong presentation and communication skills; able to make the complex simple

  • Able to ensure the approach and output is simple, structured, accurate and robust

  • Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g.

  • Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros), SAP

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and / or Tableau a plus
