Job Summary

As a Graphic Designer, you are an integral part of the Globe Life Creative Marketing Team in Oklahoma City, assisting with a variety of print and digital media projects related to the company’s national direct mail marketing initiatives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use Adobe software on a Mac platform to execute copy, layout, and design changes to a variety of direct mail print and digital media, including brochures, applications, forms, letters, billing, envelopes and other promotional materials

  • Assist in the creation of a new marketing material from templates and existing artwork

  • Maintain brand standards in print collateral and digital design projects

  • Prepare files for prepress and print production with precise instructions for web and/or laser printing and bindery preparation

  • Draft mockups of envelopes, forms, brochures and other marketing materials

  • Maintain strict timelines and file delivery for multiple production jobs per week

  • Ensure accuracy of design files during various stages of development

  • Communicate with creative team and project coordinators to ensure expectations and deadlines are met

  • Maintain organized archive of electronic files

  • Other duties as assigned by management 

 

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient in latest Mac OS

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; especially InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop

  • Working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint

  • Mastery of visual design fundamentals and tools: typography, layout and color

  • Advanced knowledge of art file requirements and color management for traditional press and digital press production  

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to focus and follow tasks from beginning to end

  • Excellent organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to handle simultaneous tasks, working with speed and accuracy 

  • Must be self-motivated, comfortable working both independently and within a team environment

  • Able to adapt to quick changes and tight deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Desire to learn and stay on top of trends and innovation

Required Knowledge & Experience

Education & Work Experience Required:

  • Degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience

  • 2-5 years in print design work

  • Preferred experience in print production including prepress experience

  • Preferred experience in direct mail environment
