Jr. Network Engineer at Fisheye Software, Inc.

FishEye Software is seeking a dedicated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist the Lab Site Lead and Network Engineer Lead in designing, implementing, and supporting our LAN/WAN networks and systems. This collaborative effort will extend to the development and maintenance of network system and service configurations, which are crucial for maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Your responsibilities will involve diligent documentation and troubleshooting of network and system issues, providing crucial insights to optimize our systems’ performance. An essential aspect of your role will involve creating and maintaining network diagrams and documentation, thus ensuring clarity and transparency in our operations.

As a Network Engineer, your job will include testing and evaluating network systems and services. This ongoing evaluation process is designed to reduce problems and continually improve our network’s efficiency and performance. You will also be working with NetScout devices and other network monitoring tools, assisting with their configuration, implementation, and utilization.

Finally, you will be responsible for network monitoring, troubleshooting, and report generation during the functional test phase of MDA Mission Support. Your expertise and dedication will contribute significantly to our goal of maintaining an efficient, secure, and high-performing network environment.

This position requires an active DOD Security Clearance.

Required Skills 

• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer/Management Information Systems or related degree. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree

• 1+ years of network engineering experience

• Must have CompTIA Security+ or CISSP Certification

• CCNA preferred or equivalent certification (Juniper/Brocade/Palo Alto) etc.

• Experience with Cisco routing and switching design and configuration

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio

Desired Skills 

• Experience deploying and managing Cisco devices

• Experience with network management and monitoring toolsets such as NetScout, Wireshark, ExtraHop, SolarWinds, etc.

• Familiar with Windows and Linux workstation and server configuration and operation

• Familiar with multicast network configuration and operation

• Familiar with Cisco Telephony and AV endpoints such as VoIP Phones and VTC Units
