About The Opportunity
As the Junior Engineer, based at our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane, you will have the opportunity to work alongside, and learn from, a team of highly experienced mining consultants from a variety of backgrounds. On a daily basis, you can expect to provide engineering and technical consulting services to our clients in the mining sector.
Reporting to the Head of the Business Unit (Consulting), your key responsibilities will include:
Providing expertise in mine planning, design, scheduling, material movement, and truck haulage
Building mine scheduling models, including reserves, and equipment allocations
Assisting withing mine feasibility and mine improvement studies
Helping with mine planning and mine optimization studies
About You
You will have some post-graduation engineering experience, including exposure to computer-aided design (CAD).
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in either engineering (mining, civil, or mechanical), geology, or survey
Proficiency in, or the aptitude to learn, Micromine Spry, Deswik, Vulcan, or other comparable mining software packages
