About the Role

AdHoc Studio is searching for a Junior Writer with an interest in interactive narrative to contribute to the creative development of an internal project. The job will require working closely with other writers, designers, and directors, creating playable stories and exploring new ways to tell them. The position does not require previous industry experience, just samples of written work with an ear for dialog and the patience and willingness required to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Write dialog and scenes as assigned

• Take and collate notes as needed

• Collaborate across disciplines to identify and deliver writing needs

• Match the tone set by a lead writer

• Contribute ideas and pitches in writers’ rooms

Requirements

• Ability to give and take criticism in a professional manner

• Positive and self-driven attitude with the ability to participate in a collaborative environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferable Experience

• Knowledge of interactive narrative games

• Strong ear for dialogue

• Experience working remotely
