Job Description

Maintenance Technician at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority

Work Schedule:

Full Time, 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday, working 1:30 pm – 10 PM. Rotating weekend hours, working Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (with Fridays off). Hours may vary depending on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to:

  • Maintain heating and air conditioning equipment, emergency power systems, medical gas distribution and supply systems, food service equipment, and hospital life support systems for direct and indirect patient use.

  • Perform diagnosis and repair equipment in emergency situations, monitor and make adjustments to the building(s) environment and lighting using a computerized building automation system and monitor and make adjustments to computerized, intelligent fire alarm systems.

 

Education:
Minimum – High School Diploma or GED
Preferred – Two-year Technical diploma

 

Work Experience:
Minimum – Two years of maintenance experience or formal training
Preferred – Two years of maintenance experience or formal training, in a healthcare setting.

 

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum – Valid driver’s license
