This position will be responsible for the design and construction of optical metrology systems to characterize optics. In addition, this position will be responsible for the design and installation of mechanical components used in the fabrication and coating equipment to make optics.

Job Description
Determine the requirements for optical metrology equipment .
Purchase, install, and troubleshoot commercial optical metrology equipment.
Design, build, and troubleshoot custom optical metrology equipment.
Design, install, and troubleshoot moving mechanical assemblies for holding optics in optical coating and fabrication equipment.
Independently perform high complexity mechanical designs using Solidworks.
Work with a team of engineers and scientists to meet project deadlines.
