Who we are:
Santander participated in a joint venture to manage a $9 billion New York multifamily real estate portfolio secured primarily by rent-controlled/rent-stabilized multifamily assets in the NYC market. Santander Real Estate Investment Management (SREIM) is the business line that manages this portfolio.
The Difference You Make:
The Multifamily CRE Operations Analyst will support the three objectives of the business line: (i) Preserving and maintaining availability of affordable multifamily housing, (ii) Servicing the Assets in accordance with the terms of the servicing agreements and standards, and (iii) Prudently enhancing credit structures and actively working with clients to maximize recovery potential of all Assets.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Manage team email inbox, trackers, and coordinate reporting
Extract daily data from internal databases to ensure trackers remain up to date
Assist Portfolio Managers with tracking and outreach to borrowers for financial information
Process loan payments, including wires and automatic payments
Work closely with Internal Partners to ensure correct accounting for all loans
Run Lexis Nexis searches on Borrowing Entities, Sponsors, and Tenants
Coordinate and track the ordering of 3rd party reports (appraisals, site inspections, environmental)
Working knowledge of loan policies and procedures
Review and process loan requests, ensuring proper compliance documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
Coordinate with teams across the bank to assist in the preparation of internal and external presentation and reporting materials
Mitigate Companywide operational risk within daily processing environment
Maintain and update loan portfolio management system and related databases
Build strong working relationships with Santander portfolio teams

Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience: Business, Accounting or equivalent field. – Required.
3-10+ years of experience in Operations, Client Service, Portfolio management or Asset management – Strongly Preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage a variety of projects from multiple team members simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate electronic files and database systems
Organized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient
Strong quantitative reasoning and writing skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Excellent member service skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and instructions of management
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Capacity to complete projects on time

What Else You Need To Know:
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
