ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is looking for a seasoned Product Manager to join our Paper team within the E-commerce Product zone at The Knot. In this role, the products you will work on help couples find and customize wedding invitations that inspire and delight. Our tools power our paper offerings across multiple brands and are integral to solving user pain points and meeting business goals. The Product Manager will work with talented engineers to build and maintain our e-commerce platform architecture while working closely with product managers and designers to develop new customer-facing features. We partner across disciplines with product designers, engineers, writers, researchers, and the business to understand our users, define opportunities, and set the strategic vision for our experiences.

We have built a world-class product development team and are passionate about growing product managers into masters of the craft. We have a rich product development program including monthly Product Schools, development budgets, guest speakers, meetups … as well as a strong general focus on personal development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Always put our users first

  • Be the domain expert for the business logic behind the Invitations team

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, writers, researchers, and the business to understand our users

  • Drive outcome-focus execution – what matters most is how the product impacts our customers and our business

  • Define how we evaluate impact and performance of our search and discovery features

  • Understand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems

  • Collaborate closely with product leaders across the organization to ensure cohesion between your products and the overall user experience across our Invitations product

SUCCESSFUL PRODUCT MANAGERS HAVE:

  • BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in product management or a related role

  • A track record of shipping algorithmically driven products that solve real user needs and support business growth (search, personalization, recommender systems)

  • The ability and mindfulness to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with many different audiences, including business partners and engineers

  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems

  • Strong prioritization skills; great instincts when it comes to what matters, and experience making tough but smart trade-offs

  • Experience with production systems for high traffic websites and services

  • Experience with mobile development (iOS or Android)
