Project Manager at Persistent Systems LLC

Persistent Systems is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team in the heart of NYC! This person will be responsible for working with the Program Manager in managing all aspects of Government projects, pursuing new opportunities, and developing existing relationships with Government Project persons of contact.

Position Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of Government projects, including project plans, project support personnel, deliverables, modifications, updates, and responses

• Maintaining all project management data, including project plans, project schedules, project budgets, risk management, requirements management, and project tasks

• Working directly with the Project Specialist to ensure project budget and personnel reporting is accurately reported

• Leading project team to execute projects on time, within budget, while meeting customerrequirements

• Liaising between Government Program Manager and other company stakeholders

• Working with customers to complete required Government forms

• Working with Program Managers to respond to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and other relevant requests

• Maintaining understanding of network and communications systems, as well as Government procurement methods

Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or similar fields, or equivalent experience

• Project Management Professional Certifications (PMP), or formal PMP training

• 4 years of experience managing technical projects, technical writing, and proposal writing

• Experience using MS Project to manage project execution

• Experience managing multiple simultaneous tasks and competing priorities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

• Must be available to travel up to 30% of the time

• Must have or be able to obtain United States Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with network and communications systems

• CCENT, CCNA, or similar technical certifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a similar field or equivalent experience
