Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Quality Engineer 3 position at our DTTP – Waller, TX location. The Quality Engineer is responsible for the continuous improvement of the organizations product quality and procedure adherence to ensure quality consistency. Monitors periodic warranty reports and drives improvement initiatives.Evaluates engineering changes for existing product, outsourced parts, processes and subassemblies. Investigates and analyzes complex quality problems, recommends solutions and takes corrective action. The Quality Engineer works towards the Companys goals and objectives to ensure ISO compliance and ensure products are made of the highest quality standards. About DTTP
Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin’s American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman,Amana, and Daikin brands.

Knowledge & Skills:
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
High level of attention to detail
Above average problem solving skills and techniques fishbone, 5-whys etc.
Experience in ISO 9001 & 14001 environments.
AS 400/MAPICS database exp or similar database experience.
Experience in developing pokeyokes.
Experience in MS Office-Excel, Word, Power BI and email *prefer experience using charts and tables.
Ability to create sophisticated documents and forms in a Business System format
Prefer experience working in a lead or supervisory role.
Prefer experience as internal or lead ISO auditor.
Experience using Lean principles.
Six Sigma certification preferred.
Experience:
5 plus years of experience in an engineering role in a high volume HVAC manufacturing environment
Certification credentials in ISO 9001/14001 a plus
Education:
Bachelors in an Engineering field

Travel may be up to 5-10%
