Leidos has a Senior Program Manager (PM) position open in our Omaha, NE office. The Senior Program Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile software that provide exceptional value to customers. Duties include ensuring that the program meets the required delivery goals and metrics within the scope, schedule, and budget constraints. This position requires consistent interfacing with the customer as well as business and functional leadership, staff, and subcontractors. Additionally, the PM establishes and implements tactical and operational plans for the C2SES4 program with significant impact on the achievement of corporate functional results. The PM will develop short-to mid-term strategies to ensure that functional results are achieved. The PM will be responsible for managing resources in support of three applications in a system of systems framework.
Primary Responsibilities
Directs all activities that have significant impact on the achievement of results for the C2SES4 program
Ensure successful management of program and ensures complete transparency for the customer
Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans that ensures efficient use of resources.
Establish, maintain and expand strong customer relationships via face-to-face meetings, informal tag-ups, and open communication with senior level government officials
Resolve highly complex problems that typically involve multiple customers quickly and with limited information
Collaborate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization
Conduct briefings with senior leaders on the project or in the job function.
Collaborate with government Product Owners and functional managers to segment current requirements into the appropriate story and release stages
Support the government customer in managing customer expectations for program deliverables, stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of program governance
Use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional program management principles and practices with an Agile development approach
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
A minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Program Manager leading successful efforts of similar nature, complexity, and size
Experience in full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional program management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager successfully managing and implementing software programs using Agile methodologies.
Experience leading projects in one or more of the following domains: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe); Large Scale Scrum (LeSS); Agile/DevOps methods and tools; Dev/Ops Team Interactions; Software development with continuous integration and automated test frameworks.
Experience overseeing multi-functional teams with at least 10-15 team members
Experience providing leadership to development teams and able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex risks/issues, and provide recommendations for project improvement
Experience with managing contract details, including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, issue resolution, and authoring proposals/statements of work
Must possess a Top-Secret clearance based on a Special Background Investigation and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Special Access Program (SAP) access.
Preferred Qualifications
MA or MS, 10+ years of experience as a Program Manager leading Agile software development teams
Experience with USSTRATCOM ISPAN domain
Experience with the C2SES Suite of Software Applications: NPES, FSR, and FSAM
PMP certification
PMI-ACP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification
Pay Range: Pay Range $124,800.00 – $192,000.00 – $259,200.00
