Sr Sales Executive

Work Mode: Remote

 

Location: Remote – Portland, OR (territory includes all of OR but primarily based in Portland)

Opportunity

We are seeking a high-impact, results-driven Sales Executive to join the Kohler team.  This role is ideal for a strategic hunter with a passion for forging long-standing customer relationships and a track record of selling to high-level decision makers in the multifamily and hospitality industries. The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving brand preference, securing specifications, and expanding our footprint across large-scale residential and hospitality development projects. This is a relationship-focused, growth-oriented role where persistence, partnership, and performance converge.  The ideal candidate is a strategic seller who understands the complexities of long-cycle project sales, thrives in cross-functional environments, and can deliver value to developers, architects, designers, and general contractors.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Drive Specifications: Influence product selection and secure specifications on multifamily, hospitality, and commercial construction projects by partnering with developers, architects, designers, mechanical contractors, general contractors and distributors.
  • Project Pipeline Management: Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new project opportunities through consistent outreach, networking, and follow-up. Build and manage a robust project pipeline from early-stage design through construction and closeout, ensuring alignment with sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers, including national and regional developers, A&D firms, and trade partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with channel sales leaders, product teams, customer service, and marketing to deliver a seamless customer experience from spec to install.
  • Value Selling: Leverage Kohler’s multifamily and hospitality tools to present tailored solutions that align with project budgets, design intent, and construction timelines.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and construction pipeline to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies as needed.
  • CRM Utilization: Maintain accurate records in Salesforce ensuring full visibility of project status, stakeholder engagement, and forecasting data.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent Kohler at industry events to increase brand visibility and deepen market influence.

 

Skills/Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–7 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in construction, building products, or design-related industries.
  • Proven success managing complex, long-cycle sales processes and influencing specifications.
  • Strong understanding of the construction and development process.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred experience working with or selling to multifamily or hospitality developers.
  • Preferred familiarity with architectural and design specification practices.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Passion for design, innovation, and elevating the built environment.
