We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team.
As a family law paralegal, you will be responsible for providing support to all clients involved in a case and organizing various forms including court documents, discovery letters, motions, etc. You will also assist other members of the team by performing administrative duties such as filing paperwork and maintaining records, files, and databases.
Duties
The family law paralegal is responsible for assisting in the preparation of family law documents. This position requires an individual who has experience working on complex litigation matters. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Detailed job duties include:
Provide legal support to the family law team by assisting with all aspects of litigation, including preparation and review of case documents.
Assist in filing motions for divorce or custody proceedings as needed.
Prepare court reports on behalf of clients.
Prepare discovery materials (electronic files) that are used in trial cases.
Review evidence submitted at trial hearings and provide information regarding findings from trials.
Maintain records necessary to file claims.
Conduct other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills
Able to learn quickly while maintaining the confidentiality
Self-starter who can prioritize tasks without being overwhelmed by deadlines
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
