About the opportunity:

Do you have well developed finance leadership experience and are looking for your next role as a Finance Manager? This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a reputable organisation that will encourage your personal and professional development.

This is a newly created role reporting to the General Manager of Finance, Reporting and Procurement where you will get given the opportunity to provide leadership to the Finance Business Management Accounting and Divisional Planning and Reporting teams, ensuring relevant stakeholders are provided with timely, accurate and insightful financial and non-financial information and positively influence decision making across the various WesCEF businesses.

 Other responsibilities will also include:

  • Proactively identify, develop, lead and deliver finance initiatives and projects across WesCEF and its business units.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as – WesCEF Executive Leadership Team, Wesfarmers Group etc.

  • Provide leadership to a team of finance professionals, coaching them to further develop their financial and commercial acumen.

  • Prepare business unit and divisional monthly financial statements and provide insightful commentary.

  • Co-ordinate the divisions forecasting, budgeting and corporate planning processes.

  • Develop appropriate control measures to ensure the mitigation of financial and operational risks.

  • Develop and implement finance system transformation.

What you bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.

  • Membership of CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent.

  • A person of high intellectual capacity who can work collaboratively, navigate change, complexity, is a trusted business partner and attentive to detail.

  • Experience across all accounting disciplines including business planning, financial accounting, tax, assurance, risk and finance technology and systems.

  • Develops & empowers others for high performance & growth.

  • Understanding of financial drivers and commercial levers.
