Opportunity Overview:  Electrical Engineer – 12-18 Month Contract

 

WECTEC Staffing / Westinghouse has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer. This position will be based out of our Warrendale, PA location. This is a 12- 18 month contract role with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position.  

 

What your day-to-day looks like:

  • Support development of hardware design specifications for process instrumentation (sensors, detectors, transmitters) used in nuclear I&C systems.

  • Support development of procurement specifications for process instrumentation

  • Work with supply chain management to evaluate and choose suppliers.

  • Follow supplier manufacturing, test, and delivery of instruments and support resolution of technical issues.

  • Review supplier drawings and documents to verify conformance to hardware design specifications.

  • Maintain product lifecycle documents and support resolution of obsolescence issues.

  • Support technical issues for process instrumentation installed at existing operating plants.

  • Provide installation and start-up support for new plants.

  • Opportunities to travel to customer and supplier sites (domestic and international).

 

What we need to see from you: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline is required, along with a minimum of 0-3 years of engineering experience. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter
