My name is Matt Brinegar. I'm 44, from Lubbock, Texas. In 2022, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. It left me walker-bound and unable to work. I currently have to go in for monthly infusions to prevent it from worsening. It usually takes a couple of hours. I also have bi-annual appointments with a Neurologist and Internal Medicine doctor. I am currently on disability, which pays a little over $1600 a month. Fact is, I'm bored. I want to be doing something every day. I spent most of my working time in blue-collar jobs and blue-collar office jobs. I need that stimulation. Especially now. I need to keep my brain working. I got my Bachelors in Graphic Design. I can also do some basic web design. Most of my work experience is in manufacturing and customer service. I've always excelled in dealing with people. My management style was to always have the backs of my subordinates. I wouldn't throw them under the bus. Even if what they did upset the customer, I'd back them. We'd talk it out later between us. I wouldn't ever ask them to do grunt work that I wouldn't do beside them. I'm loyal to a fault. It's caused me to be laid off multiple times because I always assume companies will work through their financial issues, so I don't want to quit. It's cost me a few times. I don't really have a hobby. I was always dedicated to my job and fitness. Neither of which I can do anymore. I want to fill my day with something meaningful.
