We are looking for a knowledgeable Accounting Manager who can lead and motivate accounting staff members and increase department accuracy and efficiency.

Prophet 21 ERP experience preferred but not required
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
5+ years of finance experience
Work Environment
Position is an indoor office and warehouse setting with moderate noise levels including voices, office equipment, and foot traffic sounds. Employee may interact with customers, sales representatives, and other internal departments.

Job Summary
Candidate is responsible for supporting the financial and accounting functions of the company reporting to the V.P. of Finance. These responsibilities include financial planning, reporting, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and cost objective functions. Candidate supervises accounting staff to manage, perform, and verify work affecting quality. Candidate has a thorough understanding of the entire accounting service cycle and its relationship with other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Understands the accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger structure
Supervises the accounts payable and receivable personnel
Manages the accounts receivable process, including credit approval, monitoring, and managing outstanding receivables. Works with corporate credit to align with corporate objectives and reporting.
Manages the accounts payable process so that vendor relations are maintained and received goods are paid for in a timely manner
Cash management and banking.
Supports an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Supports the monthly and quarterly inter-company reconciliations and reports are performed in a timely and accurate manner
Supports budget and forecasting activities relating to general ledger for all subsidiaries
Supports and assists in the preparation all monthly financial reporting
Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures
Responds to inquiries from the company presidents and corporate finance regarding financial results and special reporting requests
Maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements and filings for all subsidiaries.
Assists and supports sales and use tax filings, returns and exemption certificates.
Assists and supports the annual year-end audit with outside audit firm
Assists and supports the annual tax audit with outside tax firm
Works closely with other departments in the company to ensure operations are running smoothly and as efficiently as possible
